There have been sightings of snow drops and crocuses in our neighborhood, so on Monday we went out to look for them. We found no flowers, only shoots. And puddles.

I love finding the first snowdrops of the season. It happens very early here, but it’s thrilling nonetheless. The Critter looks thrilled with his puddle though.

Since Monday, we still haven’t seen either snow drops or crocuses, but I should confess that on Saturday I saw forsythia blooming in the park!
oh man, there is nothing better than puddles! I’d forgotten that until my 3 year old reminded me.

Then it wasn’t a bust at least! I’ve just been seeing shoots so far, too, but I have to say it’s been thrilling me. Spring is soooo close.

Puddles are pretty awesome, too, in their puddle-y way.

YAY for puddles! I bought my very first pair of galoshes this year, so I could join my boys in the puddle stomping. Love it!
