I hope that you’ve all been well!
I had wanted to do more nothing while I was away, but it turned out that I was kinda busy.
There’s a lot of cheese in that belly. And a little Gnome, too.

Yessss! That is the best kind of busy, if you ask me. I look forward to watching that belly grow, even if it’s only a virtual watching. Congratulations!!

Well congratulations!
Lovely! It’s all going to get a lot more variegated from now on….
A friend told me that two children = “a whole new level of chaos.” Which has been freaking me out. What, I don’t already have enough chaos?
Congratulations!!! Such lovely news! There must be something in the water

Cuuuuute! Congrats! Yup, more varigatedness….. Two is the *real* parenting initiation that no one ever really tells you about. You’ll do fine. It’s like labour: take it one moment at a time, and when you get overwhelmed with the task at hand, know that in the next moment, or the next day, or the next week, you will have what it takes to meet it. Parenting more than one kid is actually a LOT like labour. Lotsa work, predictable rhythms, emotional walls: but in the end, so, so glorious. The reward is indescribable.
=)
Lotsa luck.
One big difference, though, is that (in my case, anyway) labor lasted just a few hours, whereas parenting more than one child goes on and on and on….
I vacillate between thinking that it will be better than I dread and more difficult than I could possibly imagine.
Congratulations!!! What wonderfully exciting news.
