It’s Not About Getting Anything Done

by Rachael on September 13, 2012

scooting through the sprinkler Oddly, I stopped writing my usual daily to-do lists around the time I ended my maternity leave. Having paid work with deadlines simplified things. I knew what I needed to do without needing to write anything down.

More recently, however, I noticed that no matter what I was doing, I was also thinking thinking thinking about all the other things that needed to be done, and deadlines, and so on. So I’ve started writing a daily to-do list again. It’s not so much so that I’ll be sure to get things done as it is so that I can give my full attention to the little ones right in front of me and the sunshine that I love so much at this time of year.
