After his renal scan last April, it looked like the Gnome was likely to have surgery early in the summer. Then, in May, an ultrasound showed a slight improvement. Since then, the condition has been mostly staying the same, or getting a teeny tiny bit better. Meanwhile, the kidney itself is healthy and growing well. Plus, the kid is clearly thriving. So no surgery, at least not any time soon — and, as of today, no antibiotics anymore, either! Hurrah!

I was just thinking about him and his tiger, and wondering how big he was. Yay! (I think you should keep taking the pictures every few months for as long as he’ll let you. Said the mother whose oldest is suddenly 5’4″. :) )

Awesome picture progression! (I do wonder about 8 months and 3 days, though – what was he seeing?) Glad to hear the update and so pleased to see him thriving. Take care!

Hm. I’m not sure what he’s looking at. The camera? I took many, many pictures that day before I got that particular photo.

That’s wonderful news! Such great photos too. I love the facial expression on the 8 month picture. And the bite-the-tiger one!
