Born two minutes after midnight on Wednesday, February 22.
At last we are home and doing very well!
The days between my last post and the Gnome’s birth involved a lot, lot more than I could have expected. Over the next couple weeks, I’ll be writing and posting the birth story. The short version is that I completely gave up on my birth plan — and then, within hours of giving up, went on to give birth more or less just as I had hoped. It was miraculous, and I’m still stunned.
Thank you and blessings to you all for your advice and good wishes!

Congratulations!!!
welcome welcome welcome and congratulations Rachael!
Congrats! I’m glad to hear your birth went mostly as you’d hoped after all. 🙂
Aaaahhhhh!!! Congratulations!!!
I’m sorry that I’m so late in the game in catching up on the Gnome’s birth. But I am wholeheartedly excited for you and can’t wait to hear more of your birth story (when you’re up for sharing, of course).
Best wishes for a continued peaceful babymoon.
What?! You had a gnome last year on February 22nd? I’m pregnant. We’re calling our first little bundle-on-the-way a gnome. And I’m due Feb 22nd of next year. Crazy!
